Aishwarya Rai At Cannes film festival confirmed that she was the victim of domestic violence

Aishwarya Rai is currently at the Cannes film festival to promote her film Provoked . This is were the sensuous Indian former Miss World confirmed that she was a victim of domestic violence which by considence is the subjet of her next movie, Provoked , directed by Jagmohan Mundhra. It is a known fact that Salman and Ash shared a strange relationship, and that Salman was extremely possessive of his then lady love Ash. The film is expected to be released September 2006. Aishwarya Rai also made a reference to a future biography on herself that she will write.

Fanaah will not be shown in Gujarat. The associations of cinema and multiplexes in Gujarat have decided not to show Fanaa. About a month ago, Ammir advocated proper rehabilitation of Narmada dam which had led Gujarat to bam the film. The movie stars Aamir Khan and Kajol .

Due to the great success of the first animated movie from India, Hanuman, the producers of the film are planning a seaqul called Hanuman 2 . Toons Animation has taken the task by providing some 250-300 animators to complete the Hanuman 2 project in about a year to be release by next Deepawali .

Other known factors of Rakesh Roshan's Filmcraft are that their titles with character 'K'; its director is Rakesh Roshan, music director is his brother Rajesh Roshan, and the son Hrithik Roshan is in the lead role.

Shilpa Shetty On Cover Of OK Magazine

Shilpa Shetty will on the cover of the first issue of Europe’s OK magazine launching its Indian version. The photos are being shot by Vikram Bawa and include indoor shoots with Shilpa posing on a couch, floor and even in a bathtub. Outdoor shots were taken in a park and by poolside, and one shot has Shilpa Shetty wearing fiery red dress and posing on a luggage trolley.

Tsunami Forces Preity Zinta to Examine Priorities

Preity Zinta has been reexamining her lifestyle after she escaped the tsunami disaster in 2004. She was fast asleep in a beachside villa in Thailand when the killer waves struck in December 2004. She ran and survived but some of the friends she was with did not make it out. Preity Zinta was only in one film last year, but she again has picked up her pace and is currently shooting for three movies that will hit the screen over the next six months. She is also going to promote her next film Hindi movie Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (KANK) (Never Say Goodbye) at the Cannes film festival later this month.

Dhoom 2 team in South Africa

Dhoom 2 crew and cast will be shotting part of the movie in South Africa. The Avlon Group of Cinemas is providing the facilities in South Africa and Qatar Airways will be sponsoring air travels from India to South Africa for the entire cast and production crew. The film includes breath-taking action sequences which include fast-paced action sequences, helicopter chases and more. The file stars Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan .

Mallika Sherawat In Guru

Mallika Sherawat has agreed to shoot an item number for Mani's movie titled Guru . Mallika Sherawat has shot the item number in Turkey with Abhishek Bachchan . The movie is inspired from a corporate war between the two groups of Mumbai controlled by Dhirubhai Ambani of Reliance and Nusli Wadia of Bombay Dyeing. Abhishek Bachchan is stated to be playing the character of the Reliance's founder Late Dhirubhai Ambani. The movie also stars Aishwarya Rai opposite Abhishek Bachchan and Madhavan opposite Vidya Balan .

Kareena Kapoor will work for a film under the Karan Johar's banner. Kareena Kapoor and Karan Johar have decided to work together again after working out there personnel differences. The last time the two worked together was on Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum, and now will again be together for a untitle film being directed by Soham, and starring John Abraham .

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is busy currently shooting his next film, Saanvariya in Karjat and reports have it that he has not paid the workers, affiliated with the Film Studio Setting and Allied Mazdoor Union since April 22. The movie, Saanvariya , will also be the first movie for Rishi Kapoor’s son Ranbir and Anil Kapoor’s daughter, Sonam .

Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai as ambassadors for Kerala. Both Bollywood mega stars will soon be signed by Kerala Tourism Board as their brand ambassadors. There will be 2 ads in the campaign targetted to the international audience. The 1st will be staring Amitabh Bachchan and is called God's Own Country and will star Aishwarya Rai on Ayurveda tourism.

NC Karunya, Indian Idol 2 runner up, got his first professional singing assignment in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Munnabhai 2ND Innings . The song is called Aane Char Aane and will be picturized on Munnabhai himself, Sanjay Dutt. The comedy, starring Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi, is slated for release on August 25, 2006.

The name Omkara was voted on by more then 25 lakh people from all over the world. The movies stars Vidya Balan , Bipasha Basu , Kareena Kapoor , Naseeruddin Shah, Ajay Devgan , Vivek Oberoi , and Konkana Sen Sharma.

Rumors have it that Kajol will be making an appearance in Karan Johar’s forthcoming Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (KANK) , the plan is that Kajol will appear in a song along with Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan as well as the rest of cast which includes Preity Zinta , Rani Mukherjee and Shahrukh Khan . Currently Kajol is waiting for the release of her comeback movie Fanaah , which is scheduled to be release later this month which has already created some controversies. The controversies is that some music channels have banned the Fanaah trailers, the reason being that Yash Raj films allegedly asked for money for showing music promos of Fanaah .

We are not revealing the suspense of 36 China Town , but will let you know that Priyanka Chopra will be making a guest appearance in the movie. The beautiful actress, Priyanka Chopra got great reviews for portraying a negative character in Aitraaz, which was also directed by Abbas-Mustan and produced by Subhash Ghai and then again made a guest appearance in Milan Luthria’s Taxi Number 9211 (2006) . 36 China Town is due to release this week and stars Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor . The movie is a murder mystery(thriller) and hence the producers and director have decided to not hold any private screenings, not even for the film’s actors or distributors.

Madhur Bhandarkar To Direct Signal

Madhur Bhandarkar, the director of Page 3 and Corporate, will soon start to direct the third film in his trilogy of films on Mumbai, the next movie is called Signal . The movie is about people who meet around the traffic signals in Mumbai and stars Kunal Khemu of Kalyug and Neetu Chandra of Garam Masala. Neetu will be playing the role of a girl who embroiders clothes. Signal is being readied for Diwali 2006 release with Corporate slated for July release.
