from the movie cast after Shahid requested that she be replaced because Jiah wanted
to hang out with Shahid soon after they were introduced on the sets. Initially Jiah

Aamir Khan was hurt on the set of is upcoming movie
Ghajini (2008)
while shooting a fightling scene for the movie. The incident involved him lifting a person and
throwing him into the wall, but when Aamir limited the person his hamstring muscle tore up.
He was rushed to a local nursing home and received medication. Aamir will now
be resting until going back to finish the shooting for
Ghajini (2008)
. Now Aamir will use the rest and maybe finish up on the post production of
Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (2008)

the show writers have to write the story to bring her back. When Smriti
previosly left, she was replaced with Gautami Gadgil and now Gautami
has to be written out of the story and replaced back with Smriti. Ekta Kapoor
will have to come up with something. This will also be the first time
Ekta Kapoor has taken back a star who had left her serial midway.

plans to build a 2nd plant in India to produce low cost compact
passenger vehicles. The plant will be on the site of Toyota Kirloskar Motor
Private Limited (TKM), which is planned for 2010 opening. The plant at TKM
currently produces Corolla and the IMV series Innova minivan. Will the new Toyota
low cost compact be able to compete with the recently annouced
Tata's Nano?
Only time will tell.

The Indian Commercial Pilots Association (ICPA) has Thursday threatened to
file a defamation suit against Kerala parliamentarian PV Abdul Wahab.
Abdul Wahab, a Muslim League Rajya Sabha member and Non Resident Indian entrepreneurs,
called the pilot a "glorified driver" and then was later asked to disembark
from a the Air India plane in Kozhikode.

The LCD monitors and TV are getting thinner by the day. When plasma TV first
came to the market, people were left wondering where did the big caboose
behind the screen go? Sony now has introduced the
Sony XEL 1 OLED TV
. A 11 inch widescreen television which is wafer thin with 1/8th of an inch deep.
The model uses new panel technology called OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode)
and hence is priced at $2,500.

Today at the CTIA, Samsung introduced the
Instinct
. The Instinct looks and may feel much Apple's
iPhone
but comes with many of the features missing from iPhone.
The phone will release in mid-June and be avaliable for Sprint users. Some of the
new features are 3G access, replaceable battery, expandable memory, a 2MP camera,
stereo Bluetooth and feedback for the touchscreen. The Instinct measures
4.6" by 2.2" by 0.49" and weighs 4.4 ounces.

Comcast and BitTorrent have agreed to become collaborators. A while back
Comcast admitted to disrupting file sharing traffic based on the BitTorrent protocol
which has caused some stir in what constitutes appropriate "network management" by
Internet service providers. Comcast will no reconfiguring its networks to be
manage data in a "protocol agnostic" manner.

World under rice shortage? The price for rice seems to be going up daily and now
there are countries putting limits on exports and also local stores in the US putting
limits on how much can be bought by an individual. As the world population and consumers
of rice grows, the supply seems not to be keeping up with the rise in demand. Price of
rice have gone up by more then 30 percent in the two years from 2005 to 2007. Of the
world rice 80 percent is grown in Asia. Major exporters of rice are India, Pakistan, Thailand,
Vietnam, and United States. Rice is being imported by Bangladesh, Brazil, Indonesia,
Iraq, Philippines, and the Arab world.

Today marked a big day for the airline industry where much anticipated merger
between Delta Air Lines Inc. and Northwest Airlines Corp. was finalized. The deal
is around $17.7 billion and would create the world's largest airline. The new
airline will have some $35 billion in revenue and more then 75,000 employees,
with access to more than 390 destinations in 67 countries. Delta will have
their executive offices in Atlanta, Minneapolis and New York, with
international executive offices in Amsterdam, Paris and Tokyo.

The fight is on. Two brothers in Calcutta named Rajat and Jayant Agarwalla
have developed a online game named Scrabulous. And now the companies, Hasbro and Mattel,
that own the board game Scrabble are fighting to get Scrabulous shutdown.
Scrabulous
is a virtual knockoff of the Scrabble board game and this is not
goning well with the companies. Hasbro and Mattel seem to be have been caught
sleeping at the wheel. They had their chances to get their games online long time
back, but they waited and now some smart enterprenues beat them to the punch. Now
the two companies are negotiating with two brothers. Only time will tell how much
the two will get, hope it worth their trouble.
